Review of Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) by Torion O — 05 Nov 2018
Honestly, I could simply watch something similar to this but just with the recordings and performances. But the in-between personal stuff, specifically with Freddie Mercury's life, truly augment the performances.
Rami Malek's performance makes this movie. There are moments throughout where I can't help but smile at the sheer joy of the cast performing on stage, but the finale was just so much fun. Sure, the multiple close-ups during the final song may have been corny, but it's just too fun to care about much.
The dynamics between the band members were also fun. This movie was just fun, yo.
