Review of Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) by Philip W — 05 Nov 2018
I'm extremely disappointed in this movie. They made it seem like Freddie's AIDs diagnoses brought the band back together when in fact that isn't the case at all.
Live Aid happened in 1985, Freddie Mercury was diagnosed with Aids in 1987. He told the band members 2 years later in 1989. Freddie Mercury was friends with Roger Taylor and Brian May when they were in the band Smile, Freddie wanted to join but they already had a lead singer, so he joined them on the road.
Brian May dated Mary Austin before Freddie Mercury did, they didn't work out so Brian May introduced them.
Roger Taylor and Freddie Mercury had a clothing stall before Freddie joined the band Smile.
This movie is complete and under rubbish. As a huge Queen/Freddie Mercury fan I'm extremely sad that they changed the facts to make a "better" movie.
