Review of Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) by Heather L — 02 Nov 2018
From the massive anthem performances to the tender, more intimate moments of FMs life, this film DID NOT disappoint. I was half a Queen fan before this movie. Getting the backstory on who this man was as a person gave the lyrics and even songs (I'd previously skipped over on albums because they were too "weird" for me) more meaning.
I'm reliatening through all the albums start to end again. The music was powerful. I would HIGHLY recommend the upgrade to an Audially advanced cinema experience. Most importantly, it's ok to (from your seat and respectfully to those attendees around you) dance, clap and even sing along during the anthem scenes.
It creates a more immersive experience. It also reinforces how brilliantly and completely some of those songs grabbed onto your heart, soul, hands and feet. You got a fan out of me, Mr. Singer.
