I could talk a long time about this movie. The acting was spot on, the script was just right, the pacing was perfect. I could go on and on about this movie. I am a queen fan and am aware of the changes that they made to the story, most of which were the times in which events happened, and they all make sense from a movie standpoint.

The one thing I will elaborate on is one scene where Freddie grabs a wait staff inappropriately. The man turns on Freddie and lets him have it, verbally, for what could be considered assault. Rami's face goes from confident, mischievous, and cocksure and undergoes a startling transformation.

He goes to unsure, to confused, to horrified about what he has done. All of this is clear and it happens in the span of about 2 seconds. It is rare when a performance seems so real, stripped down, and amazing at the same time.

This scene stands out for all the right reasons. Philip Semor Hoffman had such a scene when he was testifying in "Scent of a Woman" and Rami does a similar thing here. This scene, among others, elevates this movie beyond just a decent or good movie into a piece of art in of itself.
