Review of Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) by Meredith W — 03 Nov 2018
There is a lot that is right with "Bohemian Rhapsody". Rami Malek is sensational as the flamboyant Freddie Mercury looking for an escape from loneliness and the focus on Queen's meteoric rise is well-tempered with the pathos of Mercury's personal story, wisely taking us through to the band's reunion on stage as part of Live Aid.
The stories of their iconic songs and sounds are there, along with chronicle of Mercury's out of control lifestyle, but there is nothing particularly revolutionary. If not exhilarating, it very entertaining.
