Review of Body of Lies (2008) by Andy B — 09 Mar 2010
The idea of back door and deceptive politics is pretty cool but is almost ruined by the plot. It isn't too complicated but it just seems vague at times. Another issue with the plot was the love story portion which seemed out of place.
That being said, the action is really cool and exhilerating. The shots of the desert are beautifully done and are awesome to look at. I thought that all the actors did a good job but I really would haved loved for Russel Crowe to have a bigger part in the story.
It's no Bladerunner or Gladiator but this is a nice solid film directed by Ridley Scott.
