Review of Body of Lies (2008) by Patrick C — 16 Feb 2010
This movie started out strong but really began to drag about half way through. The movie is, in many ways, a lot like "Syriana" but not as deep. The beginning has a fast paced action like feel and which suddenly dies about 30 minutes in.
What comes next is a lot of poorly accented talking between Crowe and DiCaprio. Mark Strong is incredible as the head of the Jordanian Secret Service and Golshifteh Frahani is mesmerizing. It's sad when your supporting cast carries the weight of the film.
