Review of Body of Lies (2008) by Daniel I — 18 Aug 2012
Pretty decent spy movie that is set mainly in Jordan. Ridley Scott's expert direction and Di Caprio's performance are worthy of a mention. Crowe is quite wooden in this though. The use of locations, action scenes and the dramatic tension are all first rate.
What does let the film down is the lack of catharsis: although implied we do not see the budding relationship between Ferris and Aisha blossom. Ferris leaves the agency without a blink of an eye and we don't see or hear about what happened to Al Saleem.
