Review of Body of Lies (2008) by Tristan M — 10 Feb 2015
Good movie about counter terrorist efforts in the middle-east. Has some good actors, and two of my favorites, Leonardo DiCaprio and Russel Crowe. It's a standard plot, catch the bad guy leader, and is nothing we haven't really seen before.
Adding in a girl for Roger to like and meet up with is unwanted, and I expected her to end up dead at some point. The character themselves are mostly like able, except when they interfere with the operations going on.
The first half is decently action packed, but the second half does away with most of it, as they take a different tactic on finding the terrorist leader. The action is good, fasted paced, and exciting.
Something I noticed was because there was lots of skipping all over the middle east and to the states, was how when it the location changed there was a pause, stating the name of the new location whilr music played overtop.
I haven't seen this before, but prefer the seemless transition. Overall the movie is pretty good, well done, but pretty standard.
