The most irritating thing about Body of Evidence is precisely the delusional erotic scenes which they would like to scandalize but only end up boring. Along the lines of Basic Instint, Madonna plays the card of a dark-hued legal thriller but, despite a predictable plot in which from the beginning you can guess who the real culprit is, no one is surprised by the high rate of sadomasochistic displayed with such arrogance.
It would have worked much better as a legal drama tout court.
