Review of Body Heat (1981) by Mike M — 01 Sep 2007
Kasdan's achievement is to keep the stylisation (wind chimes, John Barry score, business with hats) from toppling over into pure pastiche: "Body Heat" works as a thriller as well as it does homage, and retains some tension even if it's possible to know every one of its twists in advance.
.. Few films have been so possessed of their own climate: you practically feel the celluloid itself getting sticky, as its characters come to slip up on all the sweat and sex.
