Review of Body Heat (1981) by Andrew R — 19 Jan 2008
One of the best modern (80s and beyond) noirs. Terrific script, direction, cinematography, and first rate performances from William Hurt and an exquisite Kathleen Turner. The heat is a co-star in this film, and there are standout supporting roles from Richard Crenna, Mickey Rourke (which first drew attention to him and he rarely matched his two memorable scenes here), and - yes - Ted Danson!
