Review of Body Heat (1981) by Chad A — 18 Apr 2008
Pretty much fantastic. I'd forgotten how much I love a good noir (and a femme fatale!), and this is classic noir with a heavy erotic edge...it doesn't feel overly 80's-dated, either! Didn't realize this was Kathleen Turner's film debut, but I can see why it made her famous.
I'd almost forgotten how sexy she is/was/can be! And William Hurt is also at the top of his game here, plus they have excellent chemistry. So yeah, the plot's a tad predictable, but it's still tensely thrilling and a sexy good time.
Will make you sweat!
