Review of Body Heat (1981) by Chris B — 20 Jan 2014
After penning the screenplays for The Empire Strikes Back and Raiders of the Lost Ark, Lawrence Kasdan wrote and directed this early 80's gem. Body Heat is a great film noir that shares a lot in common with Double Indemnity.
Body Heat has fantastic pacing, soothing yet slightly suspenseful music and a plot that sizzles. It's a slow burn thriller and while the dramatization isn't milked for all it's worth, it can still keep you glued to the screen.
