Review of Body Double (1984) by Stephen C — 29 Feb 2008
Only Brian DePalma could combine Vertigo and Rear Window and come up with this trashy classic .
All the key De Palma elements fall into place as Craig Wasson plays an actor who suffers from fear of confined spaces who witnesses a Gruesome murder (with a drill) and then is thrown in a world of Murder and Mayhem.
The plot makes no sense and the whole premise is barmy.
But Depalma is having so much fun here chances are you just wont care very much of its time and wondefully over the top.
Films like this should be preserved for all time a Schlock classic from the master.
