Review of Body Double (1984) by Mark B — 31 May 2008
This movie has intrigue (ahem) as well as LA worship, lots of ridiculous stuff that only the rich could afford but I think everyone in the 80's must have coveted and more nipples than a pack of dogs.
somewhere in here depalma is able to sneak in some real nice camera work and subtly keep the viewers sense of reality a little off-balance, which helps me understand why he has a reputation. the soundtrack is also pretty rad with an interesting mix of electronic and orchestral stuff.
probably the best end credits I have ever seen. who doesn't love bloody boobs?
