Review of Body Double (1984) by Martin C — 29 Mar 2008
This movie is not for everyone. It's for Brian DePalma diehards in what is perhaps his most self-indulgent movie. The movie takes a while to get into high gear, but I found it very rewarding. There's something about DePalma's vision, the wonders he does with the camera.
This was the last great thing he ever did. And if you can believe it, Melanie Griffith is actually really good and funny in her film debut here. A real anomality this movie.
