Review of Bobby Fischer Against the World (2011) by Eduardo C — 26 Jul 2011
Legendary chess genius Bobby Fischer who taught himself chess and was so good even the Soviet state machine could not produce anyone good enough to beat him and thus became world champion gradually descended into mental illness and erratic behavior right after he won the championship.
He was the U.S.A. champion at 15 and the story of how he beat Boris Spassky is riveting, intense, and downright incredible.
