Review of Bobby (2016) by Arthur R — 27 Jun 2016
I took great delight in watching Iceland win last night, but when you take into account the astronomical amount of money that those over rated spineless cunts like Wilshere, Kane, Rooney etc get paid and compare them to Bobby Moore it really puts into perspective every single thing that is wrong with modern day football.
The English FA and West Ham United come out of this very badly. Their treatment of arguably their greatest ever player is disgusting. By naming a stand after him or placing a statue of a remarkable human being outside their national stadium doesn't make up for it either.
I don't recognise knighthood 's as an honour or something to respect but when you see some of the no marks who have received one over the years it also highlights how the establishment also disrespected him.
Maybe he was too big of a figure and threat to the powers that be. This is a moving documentary and after the English national teams performance at Euro 2016 all those pampered millionaires should have their eye lids clamped A Clockwork Orange style and made watch this film.
