Review of Bob le Flambeur (1956) by Andrew H — 04 Jun 2007
My favorite Melville film so far, though I need to see more. His blend of American gangster pictures and French minimalist filmmaking that would become the French New Wave has never been better, not to mention his hilarious use of deadpan sight gags.
Thank God for the Criterion Collection.
