Review of Boat Trip (2002) by Kerry P — 30 May 2008
"Boat Trip" is a completely illogical, totally offensive comedy led by the always irritating Cuba Gooding, Jr., who has proven more than once that his Academy Award was a fluke. If you need further proof, however, then just watch this travesty of a flick.
It's not only offensive, but also very predictable, with several of it's sight gags stolen from the not much funnier "Porky's" or the "American Pie" films. The fact that the always unfunny Horatio Sanz also appears doesn't help this movie's case at all.
"Boat Trip" is a homophobic yawnfest, a movie that aims to please both gays and straights and ends up pleasing absolutely no one.
