Review of Boat Trip (2002) by Lace — 23 May 2009
After being dumped by Vivica Fox, Cuba Gooding Jr. agrees to go on a boat cruise with Horatio Sanz. But after Sanz insults the travel agent's homosexual lover, they get booked on a gay cruisr (Heavens to Betsy). This movie and I use they term loosely, wants to have it's frosting topped penis-shaped cake and eat it too. Wants us to laugh both AT and with the gay men. It's simialar to "Shallow Hal" in that way, but while "Shallow Hal" was pretty damn funny and a great movie overall, this one just lays placcid. You MIGHT have a laugh here, and a nervous chuckle there, but all in all this movie blows.
My Grade: D.
