Review of Blue Velvet (1986) by Tedd P — 25 Oct 2012
Right from the opening scene, which begins with a shot of an impossibly perfect white fence and vibrant red roses, and ends on a squirming, hideous insect in the grass, you'll know you're in for the kind of unsettling, lurid and mind-bending experience only a demented cinematic mastermind like David Lynch could deliver.
A brilliant, psychosexual classic with an amazing performance from Dennis Hopper.
