Review of Blue Velvet (1986) by Jaws N — 18 May 2012
It has a clear story to tell that is both deep in mystery and suspense as it is subversive and surreal. It kind of takes you by surprise at times but it still engrosses you from start to finish. Hopper is the best part acting wise, and Lynch's direction (though not as creepy or makes you scream "WTF?!" at the screen as Eraserhead) still accomplices the dark tones and surreal noir story.
