Review of Blue Valentine (2010) by Wal R — 10 Apr 2012
Incredibly naturalistic and observant film, which tracks the arc of a relationship through flashbacks. Although its about romance, this isn't a date movie; it doesn't end well for the main characters and some of the mistakes made by them were a little too close to home for me! Still, the two leads are very impressive and it is very easy to buy into this film and develop an empathy for the characters within.
