Review of Blue Valentine (2010) by Kilgore T R — 22 Jul 2012
I got through exactly 29 min and 40 sec of this borefest before I pulled the disc out of the player and went on about my life so I wouldn't waste any more of it watching this p.o.s. movie.
The first 25 min or so are a flash-forward. You see a boring couple with a child who seem to be totally bored with each other, and their dog dies and that was the only thing at all to happen in the first 25 min. Then Michelle Willilams meets her old boyfriend at the liquor store and the movie begins what presumably is a long flashback of the guy she was dating before she got married, and then how she met her current husband.
Really, after that long intro to their lives I couldn't care less how they met and if they wanted me to care they should have started the movie after that 25 min long borefest.
