Blue valentine is well acted and made, but it's often disturbing and depressing making it a realistic film. I used to like these kind of films, but may be since this is a romantic drama, I did not enjoy being disturbed that much. Well, Blue valentine is spot on in saying that almost all marriages are forced ceremonies that exist for no good reason. In Friends with Benefits, Mila Kunis's character asks why they don't make a film about things after the happily ever after, well this is the answer.
