Review of Blue Ruin (2014) by Chris P — 07 May 2014
Refreshingly simple and smart, the performances are natural. Blue Ruin doesn't romanticize revenge, nor does it condemn it, but rather it finds it necessary. I was reminded of certain Coen Brothers pictures, namely Blood Simple and No Country For Old Men, you won't find any showboating here.
. just bare bones solid film making.
