Review of Blue Jasmine (2013) by Rachel B — 05 Mar 2014
This is a film centered on a shallow, selfish and self-centered character whose inability to take responsibility for any of her actions makes her completely and utterly unsympathetic and undeserving of our time.
Cate Blachette's performance is fine but does not stand out as exceptional given her resume. This film is not half as good as any of Allen's very good films like Bullets Over Broadway not to mention his greats (Crimes and Misdemeanors)!
