An over-long (3 hours) story of a young girl maturing into adulthood, but feeling out of place among her partner's artsy friends and family, while she herself doesn't have the confidence to reveal her lover and lifestyle to her family and friends.
The movie was over-hyped by the media because of the long lesbian sex scenes, which, while intense, are not especially graphic.
