Review of Blue Is the Warmest Color (2013) by Oliver D — 30 May 2013
The story has a great potential but I had to left 2,5 hours later. the story is stretched out like an old sweater, loosing most of its qualities along the way, making it painful to watch. critics loved the movie and yes, it won the palme d'or.
While most of the people praise it as a masterpiece, it is certainly about the explicit sex scenes between 2 women. sex scenes are great, don't get me wrong, but it should be a scene, it should emphasize the love live or sexual relationship of two people.
instead these sex scenes, literally made people in the audience laugh during the premiere. that's how long they were. just because it is different, doesn't make it art.
