Review of Blue Is the Warmest Color (2013) by Eduardo F — 21 Oct 2013
It's an extraordinary movie, which could only appear in the delicate and painfully sincere French drama tradition. You feel every bit of it - you can taste the food, enjoy the warmth of the sun, feel the love, the desire as well as the excruciating pain that are so closely intertwined here.
The magnetic performance by Léa Seydoux and Adèle Exarchopoulos makes you want to watch their characters'lives for much longer than the movie lasts. And all that is topped with the ending as simple and complex as any ending of a real story.
