This Palm D'or winner lives up to its raves and its controversies. There are indeed a lot of super intense love scenes, but - to be fair - this is a movie about intense love. Beyond the boudoir - the unpronounceable lead gives one of the most heartbreaking female performances I've seen this year.
...she also does some other stuff...and I think that can be seen as equally gratuitous and/or relevant depending whose eyes you're using.
