Review of Blue Is the Warmest Color (2013) by Sandra M — 21 Apr 2014
Three hours well spent. I felt I was reading a novel with French accompaniment and I do hope this beautiful movie is never dubbed with English. There are a number of explicit sex scenes but I think they are necessary to convey the depths of Adele and Emma's relationship, they were certainly into each other.
I did find it hard to concentrate when Adele was eating, she eats with her mouth open (just like my 10 yr old daughter) and it's gross, however, is this on purpose to show that she is much younger than Emma? I think this would be a great movie to study and I loved the Literature class scenes, reminded me of my TAFE Literature class.
A "coming-of-age" movie from another angle.
