Review of Blue Is the Warmest Color (2013) by Elgan D — 13 May 2015
Controversial for both the director's methods and the explicitness of the sex scenes it is a little suprising that this French production is one of great tenderness and beauty. Exarchopoulos in the lead is mesmeric with her natural and largely ad-libbed performance.
A measure of the quality of the three hour picture is, that if any, the scenes which dragged the most were the aforementioned lengthy sexually explicit ones.
