Review of Blue Is the Warmest Color (2013) by Inka S — 17 Jan 2014
Alive with passion, poignancy and powerful imagery, Abdellatif Kechiche's awe-inspiring character drama is one of the finest foreign films in years. Love, loss, infatuation and lust are explored with a tenderness so alluring, the whole thing feels unrelentingly real, and Adele Exarchopoulos' portrayal of a young teen disconcerted by the trials and tribulations of self-discovery is simply spellbinding.
Part 2 can't come quick enough. Absolutely magical.
