Review of Blue Is the Warmest Color (2013) by Greg C — 15 May 2014
Really liked the relationship in this. Much has been said about the explicit sex in this, but I feel it really isn't exploitative, but helps to show the intense passion the characters feel for each other, and the pain of their breakup is felt that much more when it happens.
Also is helps to show how Adele isn't feeling it with the guy she sleeps with before Emma. Now I've also read that one of the actresses felt the director exploited her and her costar. That's too bad if she feels that and if the director took it to far for her.
Still a really good portrayal of a relationship.
