Review of Blue Is the Warmest Color (2013) by Kelsey M — 21 Jul 2014
Slow to develop and excessively pornographic. I have no issue with sex in movies, especially well executed queer sex, which this was, it simply came off as unnecessary. It dragged on without significantly developing the plot or characters, and lord knows the plot could have moved a little faster. Not to mention the shadiness of Emma being so much older than Adele. I won't lie, I only watched the first half of the movie.
I will say, however, that the movie portrayed homophobia very realistically.
