If I would pick any movie that was snubbed in the Oscars 2014, it would be this one. Abdel Kechiche should of at least been nominated for best actress and the movie should of been nominated for the foreign language category.
Yes, yes I am aware that it is an NC-17 movie and that is a death sentence when it comes to being nominated for anything in the Oscars. The movie does deserve the rating for some very hot and amazing sexual content that many French films are known for.
The passionate sex between Adele and Emma only increases your attachment to the couple. How you would never want to see them broken in any way and your heart breaks when you since that the relationship is in trouble.
I shed tears when they shed tears. The reality of young love and all it entails comes through in the superb acting and directing. It was one of the most beautiful and raw movies I have seen in a long time.
