Palme de sh!t winner.

Almost exactly what I expected, except the last half an hour is balls to wall amazing, the best dramatic scenes in movies I have seen. But it's saving grace is flushed in the finally seconds, before the credits role with an un-answered, pathetic ending to an an amazing story. Imagine the first time watching Gone With The Wind, totally different film, you are at the final moments you are on the edge of what ever your sitting on then pre-maturely ends... No "frankly my dear", no - "tomorrow is another day". What do you do? Forgive.... it was an epic movie let's cut it some slack, hell no, you just add to the annuals of fantastic-films with piss poor endings.

Let us erase. Imagine, the ending was good: this film is one of the best dramatically fuelled films that has been made in decades. Like the bad boys of the 70's, Scoresese, Lucas, Ford Coppola- the film breaks the rules, ushers a new format of romance and inspiring story that like the bad boys will in the for-seeable future will inspire other filmmakers. Twenty years time, mainstream movie will be full out porno's. I would probably still watch that, but they need that story, that performance that is clear in this film but stabbed violently by the ending I mean come on.
