Review of Blue Is the Warmest Color (2013) by Moshe H — 03 Nov 2013
For first 2/3 an outstanding, sensitive, and realistic portrayal of adolescent sexuality, social pressures and conflicts and coming of age issues. Great staging, cinematography, lighting, and sound. Astonishingly good directing.
But the ending leaves one flat. It ends with neither answers nor issues. It just stops. It doesn't even leave interesting questions on the table that might leave one wanting to return or wonder what might be next.
