Review of Blue Caprice (2013) by Alfin N — 16 Sep 2013
The film is as lost as we are in knowing what made it all happen, and that's the icy chill of it. That's the bite that makes "Blue Caprice" really cut deep. It paint its subjects thoroughly while still maintaining the necessary mysteries.
It rivets, it challenges, and -- like nearly every excellent true crime story -- it doesn't seek self-congratulation, nor does it congratulate you for understanding its ambitions. Truly, this is one hell of a (small) movie.
