Review of Blue Caprice (2013) by Alex S — 02 Jul 2014
ACT I is slow but intriguing, ACT II is suspenseful and really delves into the power relations between John and his adopted son, ACT III.... it doesn't really exist.
In a way perhaps this character sketch of a psychopath (or is he?) might be more realistic and less dramatized thus more realistic, but in the end the film walks a fine line between suspense and boredom.
See it for the cinematography, see it if you're interested in acting performances, but don't go to see it expecting to be 'entertained'.
