Blue Beetle is a successful first step into the new DC universe. It had a similar feel to the comic book adaptations that came out in the 2000s. Being intertwined with Latin culture and prioritizing familial ties make the film emotionally strong.
Also, the costume design and transformation moments are GORGEOUS! The action is also good, the soundtrack and song choices are excellent.
