Review of Blow-Up (1966) by Sean F — 14 Mar 2008
I can't say I like this movie. But I've seen it twice - once in university where I struggled to understand it, and once last night where I struggled to understand it. Part of me enjoys it, when it reminds me of Hitchcock and I am trying to unravel the mystery.
Another part of me hates it when the main character gets distracted by Jimmy Page or mimes. The ending is deliberately inconclusive and it seems to want to make some point about art but I'm not sure I care what that point is.
