Review of Blow-Up (1966) by Jason B — 16 Jun 2012
I think it was Goddard who said that the only thing you need for a movie is a woman and a gun. And in the world of existencialist movies, well... you do not have to add anything more. It starts OK, about the environment of a photographer, but it decays at it seems clear that the mistery is not muc important: the great point is showing beautiful women acting as models, people acting in an absurd way, some cannabis, some very intelectual parties, and in general, that life has no sense -and, sometimes, the characters do things in a meaningless way.
Very disappointing because, with the same elements, you could have created a very good story.
