Review of Blow-Up (1966) by Patryk C — 23 Jul 2012
Antonioni, being in a totally new environment, quickly adapted and created a movie that will be referenced many times in the future. With its unusual style, sombre tone, it presents a thorough insight into the drug-infested, selfish life of a fashion photographer, who somehow realizes that in the seemingly normal blow-ups there is a deadly puzzle, which involves a mysterious woman.
Even though the viewer won't know what really happened, the conclusion (with its climatic finale) might be more shocking than one might think.
