Review of Blow-Up (1966) by Adrian B — 10 Dec 2010
It is one of the most intriguing films I have seen in a long day. It, for me, is one of those great films that I love for some unknown reason, or perhaps many reasons. Maybe its the fast pacing of the plot.
Maybe its the fashion studio and the girls that flock into it. Maybe its the time period in which the film is set in (it only seems to last 24 hours, where as many other films last a period days, weeks, even months or years).
Maybe its the armloads of eroticy and sex appeal. Maybe because it captures the 1960's so beautifully in the United Kingdom. Maybe even perhaps is the film that I watched before this one was not good! There are so many reasons and it could be all of them.
The possible murder is just for me a minor sidenote but an excellent addition. It is indeed an excellent film!
