Review of Blow Out (1981) by Paul D — 11 Mar 2012
Might be my favorite DePalma movie, he combines all of the filmmaking gimmicks he'd been experimenting with during his previous films with great success. A star-making role for Travolta who hadn't really been able to show off his more serious performance chops before this having only really starred in more lighthearted movies with musical/dance numbers.
Blow Out is also just a really cool movie about movies and the craft of filmmaking.
