Review of Blow (2001) by Shakeem B — 27 Feb 2015
This film is like Scarface light, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. The storyline is very similar but shorter, and the characters are all a lot more likeable. The acting is great and although drug smuggling is glamourised slightly, it brilliantly shows a transition from Johnny Depp's young ambitious drug dealer, to old prisoner who lost everything that meant something to him.
Very rewatchable, even if it doesn't win any originality awards, and highly recommended.
